Comber Romainian Orphanage Appeal

Volunteer with us in romania!

Comber was established as a volunteer organisation and we still rely heavily on our extensive volunteer network today, both in Ireland and in Romania. Since it was established in 1990, Comber has sent over 500 professional volunteers to work in Romania.

“I have made so many new friends and loved every bit of my time in Romania. I would the love the opportunity to return and continue to work in the area as it is still so under privileged.”

2011 Programme

** We have now closed recruitment for the 2011 programme, but we hope to recruit for volunteers again in 2012, so check back for updates!

Comber is committed to providing unique placements, offering personal learning opportunities and giving our volunteers a wonderful experience of volunteering abroad. Comber’s services in Romania are expanding quickly and volunteers will play a vital role in working with local staff to develop their skill level to meet the growing demands of the service.

We have 14 wonderful volunteers travelling to Romania this summer, including 3 returning volunteers from 2010. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful group volunteering with us & we know they will contribute hugely to our work in Giurgiu.
